I am very taken with photographs of dancers in urban settings, apparently. I stumbled on a site owned by Richard Calmes, a photographer that truly appreciates human form. From his site:
Richard Calmes became a dance photographer as a result of his initially being an artist, an architect, and an athlete as well as a husband and father. All of these identities have come together in his life preparing him to capture “bursts of beauty” with a depth of understanding.
His gallery, Beautiful Dancers on the Town is a collection of images of graceful dancers amid urban edginess. One might even use the term “juxtaposition”, if one were looking for SAT-caliber descriptives.
